  • About Us | Psalm One Sermons

About Us Our focus is to share solid bible teaching & sermons Over the last 30+ years I have served in various aspects of the Christian ministry, including in a variety of leadership roles. Having accumulated many sermons/teachings over the years, it is my desire to share them with anyone who might be blessed by them and perhaps is willing share them with others. My motivational gifts lie in evangelism and bible teaching. Over the years, the Lord has given me, from time to time, some ‘now’ words, which surprisingly, seem to retain a certain impact even over the years. The psalmonesermons ministry has no ulterior motives, our focus is to share solid bible teaching and sermons that have been used to build up and strengthen the church, and to link to what we consider some of the best bible teaching resources online. So, where did the name ‘psalmonesermons’ come from? Back in 1983 when my wife and I were converted, I had Psalm 1 prophesied over my life. 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. My wife Christine, and I have been married for 40+ years, and have been blessed with our four (now married) children, who in turn have blessed us with nine grandchildren. Over the years, the Lord has made it possible for me to combine a career in biomedical sciences (haematology and transfusion) with a variety of ministries. Now that I am retired from sciences, I am thrilled be able to focus on the ministry. I hold a master’s degree in Biochemistry -University of Strathclyde, and a master’s degree with merit in Science and Religion (Christianity) -New College, University of Edinburgh. My family and I attend a Pentecostal church in West Lothian, Scotland, where I currently serve in bible teaching and evangelism. • Statement of Faith | Psalm One Sermons

Statement of Faith 1. We believe that the Bible, (i.e. The Old and New Testaments), is the inspired Word of God, the infallible, all sufficient rule for faith and practice. 2. We believe in the unity of the one, true and living God, who is the eternal, self-existent 'I AM', who has also revealed Himself as the one being co-existing in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension and abiding intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory, as the blessed hope of all believers. 4. We believe in the Fall of man, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression. 5. We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, who according to the scriptures, died for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead on the third day, and that through His blood we have redemption. This experience is also known as the New Birth and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 6. We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour, are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water. 7. We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as an enduement of the believer with power for service, the essential biblical evidence of which, is the speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. 8. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of Christ in the church today. 9. We believe in holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God. 10. We believe that deliverance from sickness by Divine Healing, is provided for in the atonement. 11. We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour, should regularly participate in Breaking of Bread. 12. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and the everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life.
