Do we really love God? Part 1/3.
Day 1 JESUS GIVES ONE SIMPLE TEST
Most people define love by feelings.
"I feel close to God."
"I enjoy worship."
"I love spending time with other Christians."
But Jesus gives a quite different definition inone simple test:
📖"If you love Me, keep My commandments." (John 14:15).
According to Jesus, genuine love is not measured by emotion.
It is measured by obedience.
Love That Acts
Jesus did not say:
❌ If you love Me, sing louder.
❌ If you love Me, attend more meetings.
❌ If you love Me, have stronger feelings.
He said:
✅ If you love Me, obey Me. (John 14:15)
What Does Jesus Ask Of Us?
✅ Love God wholeheartedly
✅ Seek first His Kingdom
✅ Love one another
✅ Forgive others
✅ Repent
✅ Pray faithfully
✅ Make disciples
Real covenant love is more than affection.
It is loyalty.
It is faithfulness.
It is obedience.
🙏 Prayer
Abba Father teach us to love You with more than words. Help us to demonstrate our love through faithful obedience every day. Give us hearts that desire to honour You in all we do. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
