SECOND POINT... the Characteristics of “the Bride”. The term “the Bride” is a typological picture, or metaphor. But a metaphor of WHAT? Of a place of intimate closeness with the heart of Jesus. I’m pretty sure all true Christians have a desire within them to “want to be like Jesus”. But in what WAY are we to be like him?

Gentle Jesus is not in the business of finishing off people’s faith. If you or anyone’s faith is hanging by a thread, he wants to restore you. If you or anyone’s flame of faith is on the verge of going out Jesus wants to fan that flame back into a bright light with the oxygen of his love.

When your faith flame is only smouldering (picture a candle just about to go out) he will not put it out, he never intended to, quite the opposite. The devil means to break us and snuff out our light (this little light of mine), Jesus wants us to be whole but to burn with a pure light.

In Part 1 we asked the question; how should born again believers live out their lives in the Kingdom of God? The beatitudes describe the type of character, standards, and behaviours that are lived out in the Kingdom of God. This is what all believers should be experiencing in our lives. They are like a new law that is applied in our hearts. The beatitudes can only apply to born again believers as no one else would have the enabling of the Holy Spirit to perform such acts.

There is no place for demons or their oppression when the Kingdom of God/Heaven is released into any situation. This scripture clearly shows the power of the Holy Spirit is released bringing the Kingdom of God/Heaven into any situation. Healing is also a Kingdom of God/Heaven manifestation. When we are walking in the Spirit, we are bringing the Kingdom of God/Heaven into our situations.

The Kingdom of God/Heaven comes when we are regenerated or born-again. Everything is renewed at the point of the new birth. Nicodemus does
