Righteous Judgement Part 2/2.
The Goal of Righteous Judgement Is always Restoration'

To be able to judge righteously we need to focus on:
✅ Spiritual discernment
✅ Testing doctrine
✅ Protecting people
✅ Restoration rather than condemnation
✅ The Cross as the perfect example of righteous judgement
"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."
(John 7:24 NKJV)
Biblical judgement is never about proving we are right.
It is about helping people find what is right.
The purpose of righteous judgement is not punishment.
The purpose of righteous judgement is restoration.
Jesus demonstrated this beautifully when He met the woman caught in adultery.
He did not excuse her sin.
He did not condemn her.
Instead, He offered both truth and grace.
"Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
Many people think love means remaining silent.
But real love protects people, warns people, and points people back to God.
Righteous judgement:
✅ Exercises spiritual discernment
✅ Tests teaching by Scripture
✅ Protects the vulnerable
✅ Seeks restoration rather than destruction
At the Cross we see perfect judgement.
God did not ignore sin.
God did not abandon sinners.
Justice and mercy met together in Jesus Christ.
Every act of righteous judgement should point people toward forgiveness, healing, and transformation.
Reflection Question: When I speak truth, is my goal to win an argument or help bring restoration?
Prayer
Father God, help me to speak the truth in love. Fill me with grace, wisdom, and compassion. May my words always lead others toward restoration and hope in You for we ask in Jesus' name Amen.
