The 7 churches of Revelation, what can we learn from them?

🔥 THE CHURCH THAT GOT ITS PRIORITIES WRONG: The Church in Ephesus

When Jesus spoke to the church in Ephesus, He had many good things to say.

They worked hard.

They stood firm under pressure.

They rejected false teaching.

They persevered through difficult times.

By almost every outward measure, this looked like a successful church.

Yet Jesus saw something deeper.

📖"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first."

(Revelation 2:4)

They had become busy serving God but were losing sight of simply loving Him.

Their doctrine was sound.

Their work was admirable.

But their first love for Christ had cooled.

The challenge for us today is clear.

It is possible to be active in church, busy in ministry, committed to good doctrine, and yet drift away from the closeness and affection we once had for Jesus.

Jesus' remedy was simple:

✅ Remember

✅ Repent

✅ Return

The good news is that His invitation remains open today.

No matter how far we've drifted, we can always return to our first love.

🙏 Prayer

Abba Father, help us not to replace love with duty, routine, or activity. Renew our hearts and restore the joy of walking closely with You. Help us remember our first love and return to You with fresh devotion we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
